Kathmandu, Nepal, May 16, 2021: A with petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC), the Apex Court of the country, on Sunday against the oath of office and secrecy taken recently by the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Advocate Chandra Kanta Gyawali moved to the SC demanding that Prime Minister Oli should be conferred the oath of office and the secrecy for the second time. He has a claim that oath of office and secrecy taken by the Prime Minister Oli violates the existing law of the land.
Prime Minister Oli had denied to pronouncing the word mentioned in the script even though the President Bidya Devi Bhandari had pronounced for the second time while taking oath of office and secrecy on last Friday.
Likewise, another writ has also been filed at the SC claiming that the appointment of ministers to those who are not a member of the parliament is against of the constitutional provision.
