Kathmandu, Nepal, August 14, 2023: Foreign workers coming to work in Nepal will now get their work permit through online from August 17.
According to the Department of Labor and Occupational Safety under the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, preparations are underway for the operation of the Integrated Labor Management Information System (ILMIS) so as to bring the online work permit to the foreign workers.
With the implementation of this system, not only the non-Nepali citizens can obtain labor approval but the facilities like license renewal, trade union registration/renewal, labor supplier registration renewal, occupational accident report registration will also be conducted through online system.
