Kathmandu, Nepal September 4, 2025: The government of Nepal has made mandatory for foreign nationals to register as soon as they enter Nepal.
In the first time the government made the decision with the aim to keep record and track their movement in case of necessary.
According to the Department of Immigration (DoI) such a registration of foreign nations is going to start from September 17, 2025.
In the first phase, the registration and movement tracking of foreign nationals will start from September 17 at five-star hotels in Kathmandu, Ram Chandra Tiwari, director general at the DoI said.
For registration purposes, DoI has released a user manual for foreign national registration and tracking system.
