Kathmandu, Nepal: with the end of vote counts of the first-past-the-post (FPTP) for federal parliament and provincial assembly on Wednesday, the CPN-UML has emerged as the largest party of the country.
 
The CPN-UML has emerged victorious in 80 federal constituencies. Likewise, the UML  has won the election in 166 provincial constituencies.
 
The CPN Maoist Centre, an ally of the leftist alliance has won in 36 federal constituencies and 73 provincial constituencies.
 
The Nepali Congress (NC) has won in 23 federal constituencies and 45 in provincial constituencies. Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJPN)  has won in 11 federal constituencies and 16 provincial constituencies. 
 
Similarly another Madhes based party- Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal has won  in 10 federal constituencies and 24 provincial constituencies.
 
Likewise,  Rastriya Prajatantra Party,  Naya Shakti Party Nepal, Nepal Workers and Peasant Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have registered victorious in one each federal constituencies.  An independent candidate has also registered victories in one constituency.
 
Vote counting under the proportional representation is underway through the country. The UML has been leading even in the proportional representation category.
