Pokhara, Nepal: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Kamal Thapa has said that the government is holding talks with agitating Madhes centric parties in order to ensure their participation in the elections.
It is likely that the agitating Madhes centric parties would participate in the elections as discussions are being held to take them into confidence; Thapa said assuring that the local poll will not be postponed under any pretext.
There was no reason to doubt for the timely elections because no agreements would be made affecting the election, he said. The government is committed to hold local level elections in free, fair and fear-less manner in the stipulated time frame he said.
