Kathmandu, Nepal, January 3, 2023: Nepal's renowned folk-rock band, Nepathya has concluded its month-long nationwide 'Music for Humanity' tour with a performance in Kathmandu on Saturday. In the full-house Bhrikutimandap crowd, the band entertained with their ever-green hit songs 'Veda Ko Uun Jasto', 'Chekyo Chekyo Deurali Dada', 'Yo Jindagani', 'Gaun Gaun Bata Utha', 'Rato Ra Chandar Surya' among others.
Band leader, social activist and Singer Amrit Gurung was supported by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niroj Gurung on guitar and Shanti Rayamajhi on madals.
The band launched the month long nationwide tour with an aim of supporting Manavsewa Ashram, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving for humanity. The band was in entourage across 10 cities during a month-long tour.
Everyone present here to listen us are heartily welcome and also thanked Manavsewa Ashram for facilitating this auspicious meeting with audience by organizing the show, Gurung said during his performance.
Highlighting the organization's mission, objectives, commitment and services offered to the homeless people he said ‘going for foreign employment has spiked in one way or the other in recent times. Most of our villages wear desert looks as youths have been moving abroad in search of work.’ He also urged the audience to be generous and support for the good cause initiated by Manavsewa Ashram.
