Guwahati: Most parts of Assam’s capital city were inundated by artificial floods as heavy rains lashed the city today for nearly an hour.
The MLA hostel and Assam assembly premises were under water following heavy rainfall.
Massive water logging was reported from different parts of the city, disrupting road communication.
After a heavy rainfall, streets were laden with mud, roads were turned into river with motorists struggling to cross the inundated area leading heavy traffic snarls.
Almost all important areas in the city including GS road, Ganeshguri, Kahilipara, Panjabari, Chandmari were under water.
