Guwahati, July 28 : Much awaited cabinet expansion of the BJP-led Assam government would likely to expand in next month.
 
According to the reports, the national leaders of the saffron party had approved the cabinet expansion of Sarbananda Sonowal led state government and it would likely to expand before August 10.
 
A top source of BJP's Assam unit said that, BJP's national president Amit Shah's Assam visit is scheduled on August 8-10 and the cabinet expansion would likely to expand before Shah's visit.
 
The source said that, top leaders of BJP had approved the list of new ministers list. 
 
'Eight MLAs including one each from BJP's ally party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodoland People's Front (BPF) will sworn in as minister. Apart from it two present ministers would likely to be dropped from the cabinet,' the source said.
 
'Among the new faces, a legislator from hill district Karbi Anglong would likely to birth in the ministry,' the top source said.
 
Eight posts are still vacant in the Sarbananda Sonowal led state cabinet.
