Kathmandu, Nepal, October 29, 2025: A constitutional bench has been constituted to examine the legality of the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

The bench comprises Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut and Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla, Kumar Regmi, Hari Prasad Phuyal, and Manoj Kumar Sharma.

The HoR was dissolved by President Ram Chandra Poudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki, who leads the current interim government.

The move has sparked debate, with claims that both the formation of the interim government and the dissolution of the HoR are inconsistent with constitutional provisions.
