Over 1,500 People, Including 200 Foreign Tourists, Rescued from Avalanche-Affected Areas

Kathmandu, Nepal – October 29, 2025: The Nepali Army has successfully rescued more than 1,500 individuals, including around 200 foreign tourists, who had been trapped following avalanches in various hilly regions of the country.
 
According to the Army, stranded tourists were rescued from Upper Manang, Humde, Pisang, Tilicho, and Khangsar areas of Manang district.
 
A rescue team from the Nepal Army’s Naya Bhairavi Dal Regiment, stationed in Manang, was mobilized for the operation. The Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents also extended their support in the large-scale rescue effort.
