Kathmandu, Nepal, October 3, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 237,589 after 1,343 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Of the newly infected cases, 534 were females while 809 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the newly infected cases, 561 cases were surfaced in Kathmandu Valley alone.
Of them, 455 were reported from Kathmandu district while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts reported 80 and 26 cases respectively, the MoFA has stated.
Likewise, 2,111 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.
With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has reached to 220,272.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has reached to 1,551 after thirteen more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
With the addition, there are currently 15,766 active cases in the country.
