Nawalparasi, Nepal: At least nine persons died and dozens others injured when two passenger jeeps met with accident at Nawalparasi and Doti district on Saturday night.
Seven persons were killed and 18 others were injured when a jeep met with an accident at Batas, Bulingtar VDC-8 in Nawalparasi district late Saturday night. Te ill-fated with registration number Ga 1 Ja 3632 had met the accident on Saturday night.
The deceased of the accident have been identified as Rem Bahadur Banche Magar, 59, Khim Bahadur Banche Magar, 50, Kishan Banche Magar, 42 , Lok Bahadur Banche Magar, 42, Jaya Bahadur Banche Magar, 40, Somanti Banche Magar 28 and Deepak Phal Magar, 22 of Dandajheri VDC-8.
It is said that the deceased and injured are from the same village. The victims were returning after participating in discussions at the Bulingtar police station over a dispute in their village. The Jeep fell about 200 meters down from the road as the VDC was in the hilly side of the district.
Likewise, two people were killed and 14 others sustained injuries when a passenger jeep met with the accident at Jhansi, Latamandau VDC in the Doti district last night.
The ill-fated jeep with registration number Se 1 Ja 747 was coming to Latamandu from Kaffalleki VDC in the district carrying members of a wedding party.
