Kathmandu, Nepal, November 5, 2020: As a meeting between the two chairpersons of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ended inconclusively on Thursday, the internal rift of the party likely to escalate in days to come.

Though the executive chairman Dahal reached at the Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar with the aim to settle differences through the negotiations, the meeting ended inconclusively after both the chairpersons clinched on their respective stands.

It is said that the meeting ended inconclusively after Oli abruptly rejected Dahal’s urge to call a secretariat meeting to take decision over the recent imbroglio of the party. The dissident leaders including Dahal has been demanding secretariat meeting to take decision over the recent imbroglio of the party. 

As internal rift of the party has reached at the climax on ranges of issues, the leaders from both the sides have been holding meetings among their confidence to chalk out the future strategy.  Likewise, attempts are also intensified from different sectors to save the party from the split.
