Kathmandu, Nepal: The meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on Monday has been adjourned for half an hour due to lack of quorum required to endorse any proposal in a House sitting.

As the House was scheduled to endorse a proposal to allow lawmakers to register amendment proposal on Local Level Election Bill and Election Offence and Punishment Bill, it was adjourned after Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party (NWPP), Dilli Kafle over the issue of quorum.
 
 
Though at least 149 members is compulsory at the time of endorsement of any bill or proposal or taking any formal decision in the legislature, only 116 lawmakers were present at the meeting.
