Kathmandu, Nepal, May 13, 2021:  owing to the deadline today to form a majority government, political parties have intensified meetings. President Bidya Devi Bhandari had already set the deadline to claim the majority government by 9:00 pm today.

Following the standing committee meeting of the party president and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli led faction of the ruling CPN UML that decided to revoke suspension on Madhav Kumar Nepal, Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, and Surendra Pandey, attempts are underway to woo the dissident factions led by party’s senior leader duo Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal. 

A meeting is being held between Oli and Nepal at a home located at Chapaliheight in Kathmandu over the issue of resolving the interparty rivalry. 

Likewise, rounds off meetings were held at the resident of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba throughout the day on Thursday over the issue of forming coalition government between the Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center and the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP). 

Reliable source claim that the meeting failed to reach on the conclusion over the issue of forming coalition government under the leadership of Nepali Congress President Deuba after Mahanta Thakur led faction of the JSP denied to do so.
