Kathmandu, Nepal, July 16, 2023: Keshav Tuladhar, who was arrested earlier in the fake Bhutanese refugee case and was released on bail of 1.5 million rupees by the order of the Kathmandu District Court on July 12, has been arrested on charges of participating in the Lalitaniwas land scam case.

Tuladhar has been arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police on Sunday on charges that he was also involved in the embezzlement of 143 ropani government land of Lalitaniwas in Baluwatar. Single bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Madhav Prasad Ghimire ordered him to be released on bail on July 12.

The 59-year-old Tuladhar, who was originally from Asan in Kathmandu and currently lives in New Bazar, was arrested by the team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office from Sano Rhabyang area in Kathmandu.

The police have started an investigation on the charge that two plots of government land of Lalita residence have been passed in his name. According to the police, it has been seeming that the land of Baluwatar was transferred to his name through some other persons including Meen Bahadur Gurung, who is currently in police custody on the same charge.
