Kathmandu, Nepal, April 26, 2021: Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the county, has denied to issue an interim order to stop Chairman K P Oli from taking action against lawmakers close to dissident factions led by Madhav Kumar Nepal and the Jhala Nath Khanal of the ruling the CPN-UML.

Responding a writ petition filed by dissident leaders of the ruling UML including Khanal, a single bench of Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana made the decision denying to issue an interim order stating that there is no need to issue the order before taking actions.

However, the SC has demanded written clarification from the defendants including Election Commission and KP Sharma Oli over the issue of possible actions against the petitioners.
