Kathmandu, Nepal, December 13, 2022: The coach of the Nepal national cricket team, Manoj Prabhakar, is going to resign after the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) pressured him to leave the post.

Following the pressure, Prabhakar has left for India on Monday. It is said that he would send his resignation letter from India. However, he has not formally disclosed about his plan to resign from the post.

Citing the poor performance of the Nepal national cricket team, the CAN officials had been exerting pressure to him to resign from the post. He had signed a one-year contract on August 8.

The CAN officials had been accusing him of putting needless pressure on the selection committee along with his poor performance. It is said that the CAN officials have already warned him that he would be sacked if he neglect to resign from the post.

Manoj Prabhakar was appointed as the coach of the Nepal national cricket team after Pubudu Dassanayake resigned from the post.
