Dhangadhi, Nepal: Local people have protested again against of the government’s apathy to book the culprit (s) of Nirmala Panta murder case. 
 
Hundred of thousand locals including the human right activists, civil society members, and kith and kin of the victims protested at Mahendranagar demanding justice for the 13-year-old minor.
 
The teenage school going girl Panta was brutally murdered after rape in Bhimdutta Municipality-2 in Kanchanpur district on July 26.  

The government had formed several committees on the name of investigation of the gruesome murder; but no one is arrested yet, thanks to the negligence fro the government’s side. 

The local people, human right activists, civil society members, and kith and kin have been alleging the government for sowing reluctance to book the culprit (s).  

The protest rally organized on Monday was started from Madan Chowk of Mahendranagar and demonstrated in front of the District Administration Office. 

The protesters have submitted an ultimatum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli via Chief District Officer demanding immediate arrest of the culprit (s) or face stern protests in days to come.

Addressing a corner meeting organized after the rally, Civil Struggle Committee Coordinator Meena Bhandari warned for another stern protest if the government fails to make the culprit (s) public immediately.

Victim’s father Yekraj Panta also addressed the function stating that taking action against two police officers has not done any justice to the victims. 

Against should be taken to the real culprits to give peace to my daughter’s soul, Yekraj stated in the function.
