Guwahati : In a shocking incident, a group of drunk students from the Assam Engineering College in Guwahati last night had allegedly vandalized a marriage function and also physically assaulted some people who attended in the function the people.
The drunk engineering also allegedly assaulted few ladies.
The incident took place at Sundarbori area near Jalukbari, outskirts of Guwahati at around 1 am.
The family members of the groom said that, a drunk students group of Assam Engineering College came and vandalized some properties of the weeding function and also physically assaulted some people.
The student group had brought hockey sticks, wooden sticks and other weapons and vandalized the weeding.
According to the reports, the engineering students had a fight with a truck driver last night and the group reached at the weeding function in search of the truck driver.
Meanwhile, Guwahati city police has detained 9 engineering students who allegedly involved it.
