Guwahati, September 22 : A hardcore militant of NDFB(S) was killed during a gun fight with security forces in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Thursday morning, officials said.
According to the reports, army and police had launched joint operation at a remote area in the BTAD district and killed the militant during gun battle.
The slain militant was identified as Rajib Basumutary and security personnel recovered one pistol, few rounds of live ammunition, two grenades in possession from him.
