Huge Amount of Illegal Chinese Liquor Seized in Humla

Kathmandu, Nepal, November 5, 2025: The Humla District Police Office seized a large quantity of illegal Chinese liquor across different parts of the district late Tuesday night.
 
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shankar Pokhrel recovered 351 cartons of the illegal Chinese liquor from various locations. These spots included Dhadkermi and Tumkot of Namkha Rural Municipality, starting from the Hilsa border point.
 
DSP Pokhrel, Chief of the Humla District Police Office, informed that a total of 2,022 liters of unclaimed, non-consumable Chinese liquor, packed in 4,212 bottles, was seized. The value of the seized goods is estimated at 1,684,800 Nepalese Rupees (at a rate of Rs 400 per bottle), and the entire quantity will be destroyed, Pokhrel said.
