Kathmandu, Nepal, November 9, 2025: The Nepal-India border points adjoining India's Bihar state have been sealed for 72 hours ahead of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, which is scheduled to be held on November 11, 2025.
 
Authorities have stated that the closure of the Nepal-India border points is a standard security measure aimed at preventing illegal activity and ensuring a transparent and fair voting process in the bordering Indian state. The restriction began on Saturday, November 8, and will last until the evening of Tuesday, November 11.
