Guwahati : A local court in Assam's Dhemaji district on Monday had sent 55 persons including the president of Nikhil Bharat Bangali Udbastu Samanvay Samiti (NIBBUSS) Subodh Biswas to 10-day judicial custody in connection with the ransack of a All Assam Students Union (AASU) office in Dhemaji district. 
 
The court sent them to the judicial custody and asked the concerned authorities to produce them before the court on June 15 next.
 
On the other hand, the Dhemaji police had submitted a 42-page charge sheet before the court and accusing 55 persons including Subodh Biswas, Subhas Biswas, NIBBUSS's Assam unit president Sahadev Das, general secretary Benimadhab Ray.
 
Police also accusing 14 persons in arms act in the charge sheet in connection with the AASU office attack on Mach 6.
 
Earlier, police had arrested a senior IPS officer N Rajamarthandan, who had provided the investigation information of the AASU office attack to the general secretary of NIBBUSS through RTI, whereas the CID organization was exempted from the RTI Act following the Assam government order issued in 2006.
