Pokhara, Nepal: CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam has challenged that his party would not let House endorse the Constitution amendment proposal.

The ruling allies are planning to amend the constitution on the name of taking into confidence the agitating Madhes based parties, but we will not let House endorse the Constitution amendment proposal, Gautam said.

Gautam has made the claim while speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski chapter here on Saturday.

The present delineation of the provinces would not change even one inch, he said hinting to the agreement reached between the government allies and the agitating Madhes based parties.

About more than one third of the lawmakers were with the opposition parties, how they (ruling allies) can amend the constitution by bypassing the oppositions, Gautam questioned.
