Makawanpur, Hetauda, Nepal, March13, 2021: At least three people were killed and ten others injured in a road accident occurred at Hetauda-Narayangadh road section on Saturday morning.
According to the reports, the accident occurred when a passenger bus with registration number Na 4 Kha. 5149 that was heading towards Kathmandu from Kakarvitta of Jhapa district collided with a truck with registration number Na. 6 Kha 89 that coming from the opposite direction at Sunachuri in Manahari Rural Municipality-6 at wee hours on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as bus driver Madan Kumar Thapa Chettri, 35, of Birgunj metropolis-15 and two Indian nationals named as Abhaya Lal Kuswaha and Sunil Kumar. The two Indian nationals died on the spot while driver Thapa died during the course of treatment at Bharatpur, the District Police Office, Makwanpur said.
Injured passengers are reviving treatment at local hospitals. It is said that two persons have reported critical in condition.
