Kathmandu: Vijay Singh Shrestha has been unanimously elected president of the Nepali Congress ward committee in Tokha Municipality–4.
The ward convention was held as part of the party’s 15th General Convention. A 13-member ward committee and 23 regional representatives were selected through consensus, with no election required.
The convention was held in a cordial atmosphere under the coordination of outgoing Ward President Rabindra Shrestha. Party members reached an agreement on the new leadership through discussion and mutual understanding.
Rabindra Shrestha and Sita Pathak Bhandari were elected vice presidents, Khagendra Kunwar as secretary and Kabita Neupane as joint secretary.
Other members are Shivalal Shrestha, Kamala Lama, Raj Shrestha, Chhatramaya Karki, Indu B. Rai, Mithila Kunwar KC, Shyamsharan Shrestha and Lilamaya BK.

Following his election, Vijay Singh Shrestha said he would work to bring party members together and make the ward organization more active and inclusive.
Participants said the consensus-based selection of the leadership reflected cooperation and unity among Nepali Congress members in Tokha–4.
