Kathmandu, Nepal, September 11, 2023: The government employees working at Tribhuwan International Airport, Sinamangal Customs Office have announced to launch strike stopping the customs from today.
The governemnt employess announced the strike expressing their dissatisfaction over the ongoing investigation process in 60 kg gold smuggling case.
The employees had forwarded various vive demands including mass transfer stating that the employees were arrested and terrorized in the gold smuggling case. In the initial phase the employees had on Sunday staged 'pain down' protest for three hours
The agitating employees have announced that they will stop all operations related to export and import through the cargo check and pass from the branch of the Tribhuvan Airport Customs Office.
Likewise, they have also announced that all the work of the cargo branch will be stopped from Tuesday if the demands were not fulfilled till the date.
