Kathmandu, Nepal: The confrontation between Legislative, Executive and Judiciary emerged after the impeachment motion registered against the Chief Justice (CJ) Sushila Karki , clearly visible on the Law Day on Tuesday.
CJ Karki had organized a tea on Tuesday evening at the premises of the Supreme Court (SC) inviting VVIPs including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Law Minister Ajaya Shankar Nayak and Attorney General Raman Shrestha. But all of them did not turn up at the reception. Interesting fact is that all of them represent the UCPN Maoist Center.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and many others VVIPs were present in the reception responding to the invitation of the CJ Karki.
Addressing to the function, CJ Karki urged all concerned stake holders not to take the state organs as the rivals guiding by any kind of prejudices. Though Prime Minister Dahal and others did not present in the reception, she had addressed the prime minister, speaker, deputy prime minister and ministers during her address.
