Kathmandu, February 13 — Stakeholders from Nepal’s technology sector and U.S. partners gathered in Kathmandu today to advance efforts aimed at strengthening Nepal’s global tech identity and expanding international collaboration.

The third edition of the “Seeding and Scaling Innovations” dialogue was organized by the U.S. Embassy in Nepal, in partnership with Aadyanta Advisory and AmCham Nepal. The program was hosted at the Kathmandu headquarters of SecurityPal.

Held under the theme “Building a Cohesive Brand Narrative,” the session focused on how Nepal can present a unified, credible, and globally competitive image of its emerging tech ecosystem. Participants included startup founders, members of the Nepali diaspora, investors, and policymakers.

Speaking at the event, Acting Public Affairs Chief Frank Sellin underscored the strategic importance of a strong and coherent narrative for Nepal’s technology sector. He stated that U.S. companies are increasingly seeking reliable and transparent innovation partners and are drawn to ecosystems that meet global standards.

According to Sellin, effectively communicating Nepal’s strengths will not only support local entrepreneurs but also enable U.S. businesses to identify scalable and competitive partners.

During the session, SecurityPal Chief Executive Officer Pukar Hamal presented a case study introducing the “Silicon Peaks” framework—a model designed to build reputation through high standards, consistent execution, and disciplined storytelling. The framework aims to position Nepal as a trusted, high-quality technology destination.

A moderated discussion followed, exploring Nepal’s technological capabilities, the measurable "proof points" needed to build international confidence, and the role of diaspora networks and U.S. connections in accelerating global visibility.

The program concluded with a “Narrative-Mapping Lab,” where participants collaboratively outlined key messages, defined Nepal’s credible strengths, and identified practical steps to enhance the nation's global technology brand.

Organizers described the dialogue as a shift from conversation to concrete action, reinforcing Nepal’s ambition to scale innovation and deepen commercial ties with U.S. businesses.
