Kathmandu, Nepal:  Following the directives of the Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Kathmandu to arrest former DIG Nawa Raj Silwal, the MPR, Lalitpur has intensified search operations to arrest Silwal. 
 
A police team had reached at Silwal’s residence but failed to arrest him as he was not there, claims a source at MPR, Lalitpur.  As the whereabouts of Silwal is yet too unknown, the police have intensified the search operation to arrest Slowal. 
 
The MPR, Kathmandu had issued the arrest warrant against Silwal in connection with the allged fake performance appraisal report that Silwal had submitted to the Supreme Court (SC) while filing a writ challenging to the appointment of Prakash Aryal as Inspector General of Police (IGP).  
 
Silwal had filed a writ at the SC claiming that he had secured more marks than his competitors including Aryal to become the IGP.
 
Following the order of the SC, the MPR, Kathmandu, has been investigating the alleged forgery of Silwal’s performance appraisal report. The SC had asked the concerned bodies to probe the Silwal’s performance appraisal report. Responding to a writ, the SC had also asked to take legal action against the guilty.
 
Silwal is also an elected member of the Parliament from Lalitpur-1 from the CPN-UML’s ticket.
