Kathmandu, Nepal April 25, 2022: The Election Commission (EC) has said that about 20,000 observers from 68 organizations are going to observe the local level election that is scheduled for coming May 13.
According to EC spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel about 20,000 observers from 68 various organizations will be mobilized to observe the elections with authorized ID cards.
Likewise, the EC has also stated that as many as 168,000 security personnel will be deployed for the security of the elections. According to EC spokesperson Sharma, of the total 168,000 security personnel to be mobilized in the election, 65,000 will be from Nepal Police, 32,000 from Armed Police Force and remaining 71,000 from Nepal Army.
