6 injured in Mahottari jackal attack

KATHMANDU: At least six persons were injured in a jackal attack at Laxminiya VDC of Mahottari district on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Isaq Churait (50), Likhit Khatun (5), Soyab Shesh (10), Ladli Khatun (10), Ram Binay Mahato (3) and Sudip Kumar Mahato (15).

Inspector Shambhu Kharel said that they were referred to a private clinic in the district after the treatment was not possible at the Gaushala-based primary health centre due to lack of anti-rabies vaccine.

Police said that they are searching for the jackal that attacked the Laxminiya folks. RSS
