Kahmandu, Nepal: The government effort to register the constitution amendment bill in the legislative parliament by November 28 hits a snag after agitating Madhesi arties stand against the proposal.
Though the meeting held at Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence on Wednesday has paved the way to register the constitution amendment proposal, the Madhes based parties have stand against the proposal stating that the proposal to change the provincial boundaries was not acceptable to them.
Likewise, the issue over the naturalized citizenship is also emerged as the major challenge to settle the differences with the agitating Madhes based parties though the issue is not exposed openly.
As Madhes based parties said that they need to discuss further over the constitution amendment proposal, the date to register became uncertain, a leader present in the meeting said preferring anonymity.
