Kathmandu, Nepal, May 8, 2021: The ruling CPN UML has issued a whip to all its lawmakers to mandatorily attend the special session of parliament to cast votes in favor of Prime Minister and party’s parliamentary leader KP Sharma Oli. 

The UML has issued the whip at the time when dissident lawmakers aligned to Madhav Kumar Nepal led faction of the party are believed to cast against of the Prime Minister Oli.  

Likewise, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairman of the ruling UML, has urged the lawmakers representing the party not to take any harmful steps such as resigning en masse or crossing the floor.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, Oli has also urged the lawmakers to strengthen the party assuring that nobody will be discriminated.
