Kathmandu, Nepal: In the time when the Tihar festival, the second largest festival of Hindus, is approaching near to the doorstep of all Nepalese, the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has on Monday appealed not to organize deusi and bhailo program after 10 PM.
Issuing a press statement the DAO Kathmandu has not only issued such a directive but also asked all to organize such programs only after taking permission from house owners. If someone found to have gone against the appeal will be punished, reads the statement.
The DAO Kathmandu has made the decision in the pretext of mentioning security during the festival. However, the people in general have not taken the directive positively.
Similarly, the DAO Kathmandu has also requested the Tihar and Chhath celebrators not to produce, import, export, sell and distribute, transport and use fireworks like fire-crackers etc. The use of explosive materials will have adverse effect on the health of the people and damage property, reads the statement.
