Kathmandu, Nepal: The Legislature-Parliament has forwarded the impeachment motion against the suspended Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Lokman Singh Karki to a House committee on Sunday.
The House forwarded the motion to the impeachment recommendation committee for investigation. As per the constitutional provision the committee should present a report before the parliament with an opinion within one month.
If the impeachment motion is passed by at least a two-third majority of the total number of the then members of the House of Representatives, Karki should be relieved from the office.
