Kathmandu, Nepal: Multi-national military exercise kicks off in Birendra Peace Operations Training Center (BPOTC) in Paanchkhal, Kavre from Mnday.
 
Military personnel from various 28 countries are taking part in the Exercise called as Shanti Prayas (peace endeavors). Nepal Army and US Army's Pacific Command have jointly organized the exercise. It is said that 1024 army personnel from 28 countries are taking part in the exercise. 
 
The objective of the joint military exercise is to help increase the participants' interoperability and peacekeeping skills prior to their deployment to the UN peace missions, states the Public Relations Directorate of Nepal Army.
