Kathmandu, Nepal: with the aim to woo the agitating Madhes based parties, the government has on Thursday decided to allocate Rs 1.4 million on the name of treatment of those who had injured in the anti-Constitution protests since last year.
A Cabinet meeting held on Thursday made a decision to this effect. However, the decision is not alone to make pleas the agitating Madhes based parties. Earlier, the government had decided to declare martyrs to those who were killed during the anti-Constitution protests.
Interestingly, the government is also preparing to add some persons in the list of ‘martyrs.’
Likewise, the cabinet meeting has also decided to appoint Kamini Rajbhandari to the vacant position of Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, the state owned television channel of Nepal.
She was working as a Senior Deputy Manager at the television. She breaks the history by appointing as the first female Managing Director of Nepal Telecom.
The cabinet meeting has also made various decisions including the transfer of two AIGs of Armed Police Force.
As per the other decisions of the cabinet government attorney offices will be established at all newly established high courts, Rs 500,000 financial support will be provided to Mira Rai, an ultra-marathon runner of Morang district and to complete rehabilitation of freed haliyas within coming two years.
