Kathmandu, Nepal, March 31, 2022: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has applauded the role of media for the promotion of democracy and overall development of the country.
Inaugurating the 24th establishment day ceremony of the Reporters' Club Nepal here on Thursday, the Prime Minister Deuba also reiterated his commitment for press freedom in the country.
‘The government is committed for full press freedom in the country,’ Prime Minister Deuba, who is also the president of the ruling head Nepali Congress, said ‘Nepali Congress has not changed the agendas of democracy with the guarantee of freedom of expression since its establishment.
During address, he also urged the media persons to make success the upcoming elections by conducting in a fair and fearless manner. Media support is most to conclude the election successfully and lead the country towards economic prosperity, the Prime Minister Deuba said. He also urged the media persons to promote the credibility of the media.
