Kathmandu, Nepal, May 16, 2023: The Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country, has on Tuesday upheld the decision of the High Court Dipayal to sentence Resham Chaudhary to life imprisonment.
Resham Chaudhary, the alleged mastermind of Tikapur carnage in 2015 that claimed the lives of seven police personnel including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lakshman Neupane and a toddler, has been serving jail term after High Court Dipayal upheld the verdict of the Kailali District Court alleging him as the mastermind of the Kailali carnage.
Responding to the writ petition filed by Chaudhay against of the verdict of the High Court Dipayal, a division bench of SC justices Dr Anand Mohan Bhattarai and Nahkul Subedi decided to sentence him to life imprisonment.
