Kathmandu, Nepal, October 8, 2020: The Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country, has on Tuesday scrapped the government’s earlier decision to open land for plotting and fragmentation.
A joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR and Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma issued the verdict dismissing the minister-level decision made by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty, Padma Aryal.
The SC issued the verdict responding to the writ petition registered by advocate trio Sujan Nepal, Santosh Bhandari and Nawaraj Pandey against the government’s decision for plotting and fragmentation.
