Kathmandu, Nepal: Main opposition CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has reiterated that the constitution amendment bill registered at the Parliament secretariat would not be endorsed at any cost.
Speaking at the 36th commemoration day of Rishiraj Devkota and first district representatives’ council in Sindhuli on Thursday Oli termed the constitution amendment as unnecessary and against the national interest.
The constitution amendment proposal was registered in the House with the motive to derail the local elections which would not be passage, Oli said claiming that the constitution amendment bill was registered going against the interest of the entire Nepali people.
Oli has made the firm stand not to passage the constitution amendment bill in the mean time when there was an acceptation that his party would opt soften corner to bring the agitating parties on board by addressing their grievances through the amendment in the constitution.
