Kathmandu, Nepal: The CPN UML, the main opposition party in the parliament, has reached on the conclusion not to support the constitution amendment proposal that to be forwarded by the government.
A meeting of the standing committee held at party’s Dhumbarahi based head quarter on Friday made the decision to this effect.
With the decision, to be tabled constitution amendment proposal would not be endorsed as two third majorities require to be amended in the constitution.
The strength of UML in parliament is sufficient to foil the constitution amendment proposal.
