Kathmandu, Nepal: 295th Prithvi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of late King Prithivi Narayen Shah, the unifier of modern Nepal is being celebrated in different parts of the country with different programs.
A rally with placards and banners is organized in the Capital. The rally was transformed into mass gathering around Shah’s statue situated at the main gate of Singha Durbar to offer floral tribute to the late King Shah.
Prithvi Jayanti used to celebrate as the National Unity Day every year on Poush 27.
Likewise, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has organized a reception program at Bhrikutimandap of Kathmandu on the occasion Prithvi Jayanti.
