KATHMANDU: The Local Bodies Restructuring Commission has recommended the government to establish total 719 local level structures across Nepal while implementing federalism in line with the Constitution promulgated in 2015 September.
In the report that the constitutional body submitted to the government today, the government has been urged to establish four metropolitan cities, 12 sub-metropolitan cities, 241 municipalities and 462 village institutions (gaunpalikas).
There would be total 6,553 wards.
The report was prepared in consultation with over 50,000 persons and on the basis of geographic information system.RSS
