Kathmandu, Nepal, June 27, 2023: The government has announced a public holiday on Thursday to celebrate Bakra-Eid (Eid-ul-Azha), an important festival of Muslims religious community living home and abroad.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a public notice announcing a public holiday on June 29 commemorating Bakra-Eid. “June 29 has been designated as a public holiday for the festival of Bakra-Eid celebrated by the Muslim community,” reads the statement.
