Kathmandu, Nepal: Following the 11th general convention of the Nepal Student Union (NSU) Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deubua has formed two separate panels with the authority to hold to hold the long being pending general convention of the Nepal Tarun Dal (NTD) and the Nepal Women Association (NWA).
A seven-member NTD General Convention Central Directive Committee has been formed under the leadership of the party’s Central Working Committee member Bal Krishna Khand.
In the panel central committee, Shankar Bhandari, Surendra Raj Pande, Uma Kanta Chaudhary, Ram Krishna Yadav, Hridaya Ram Thani and Sarita Prasain are appointed as the members of the panel.
Similarly, a five-member Nepal Women Association General Convention Central Directive Committee has been formed under the leadership of the party’s Central Working Committee member NP Saud.
In the committee, Namindra Raj Joshi, Chandra Bhandari, Kamala Panta and Pradeep Paudel appointed as the members.
Part president Deuba has formed the two separate panels in accordance to article 24(6) of the party statute. But a larger section of the party, particularly the senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel loyal leaders have a complaint that the decision made by the party president was unilateral and it was not discussed in the party regarding the formation of the panels.
