Kathmandu, Nepal: Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has issued a three-day ultimatum to major political parties to forge a consensus to end the obstruction in the parliament.
 
Speaker Gharti issued such an ultimatum while receiving a memorandum handed over by Reporters’ Club on Thursday.
 
Though Speaker Gharti did not elaborate if the parties failed to meet the deadline, she expressed her optimism that the parties will forge an accord within the deadline.
 
Speaker Gharti had also been consulting with the parties in a bid to forge consensus with the parties to end the obstruction in the parliament. 
 
The opposition parties in the parliament including the main opposition CPN UML has been obstructing the parliamentary proceedings since three weeks to protest the constitution amendment bill registered in the parliament.
