DHAKA: Minister for Foreign Affairs Bala Nanda Sharma arrived in the Bangladeshi capital on Monday night to attend the official oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected government.

Minister Sharma, leading a Nepalese delegation, was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Dr. Md Nazrul Islam.

The visit follows the 13th National Parliamentary Election, which saw a landslide victory for the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
